I want to share what I couldn't attend

On April 26, 2021, I was able to finally reach my Dad by phone. He had been hospitalized, due to some minor issues, unfortunately, after a quick stop at Huddinge hospital he was admitted to a smaller hospital, where he did not get the comfort he was used to, and after 6 days, they admitted him back to Huddinge hospital. They had not charged his mobile so we could not call. On the 26th of April, we had a very emotional and lovely conversation, we both did cry, of the absence of being distanced closer. On April 29, early in the morning, he slept in, and in peace, he had left, this early life.

Being dyslexic is a difficult hidden handicap, and not being able to read well, actually, I have never read a book in my life, except for a few books of “TheLegend of the Ice People” ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Legend_of_the_Ice_People). Back in 1992 I did move from Stockholm to Sveg and bought a small and old farmhouse “Mickels” in a village named Duvberg. With life in harmony and long winter nights, I had planned to fulfil one of my bigger dreams, start to read books. I was offered the volumes of The Legend of the Ice People, I think I did buy all the books, it was 47 books. After 3 years I remember I only had read red less a handful, likely only 4 out of 47 books.

Another lifetime dream has always been to write a book before I read one, but due to my poor grammatical skills, I have never started. This website and with all the stories around all the innovations as well as the untold stories I will share, is likely what can be called, a novel, but this one is a never-ending novel, it will be updated for as long as I am alive.

Thanks to the now excellent spellings tools like Grammarly, at least, even if my sentences are built wrong, you likely can understand, what I am trying to share. For sure my innovative skills and my gift to see solutions is fare better than my grammatical skills.

This website will when the basic structure has been made include All the initiates I have initiating and brought to its reality. NOT alone, as stated earlier, I have has good team members, and also as stated, any and all concept innovations made after 1983, would never have been made or worked if it was not because of my tech-partner Mats Engstrom. All companies started and the life story around each of these companies. When I do see solutions and get some ideas in my mind, I always start to create a name for the idea and as a crucial part of its creation, I always start with a logotype, a symbol, something which hopefully will attract others to know more, about such invention. I will try to share all these designs on a separate web page. What you also will find, is a link to most of the web pages I/we have created over time. I am doing the coding of the webpage in HTML by myself, a self-taught skill, at a basic level and learned by trial and Error. Self-taught is likely to be bragging, during the years, even when we have a great distance between us, Mats always helping me and guiding me to where I can either find what I need to read (on the internet) or sending me some sample codes.

For sure someone will say that this is too much to read, so don’t read it, you can also, nowadays just with a click get it to be read text-to-voice, in many different languages and different voices, so hope you will enjoy, at least I have got many smiles and many laughers, as I have put down the memories and created this website. Having made my first innovation already at age 16, the number of innovations, creation of projects, and establishment of companies spans, soon 50 years, and being adnormal, the quantities of solution in combination with great team members have made the list long, and new items are still being added. After close to two years in Covid-lockdown, I have plans to file additional 11 new patent applications related to payment solutions benefiting inclusion and a cashless society. A lifetime of achievements would be complete if the early triumphs were left out. An event already at age 6, may have set the basis to what has become a passion to achieve, invent a payment solution that creates inclusion, and will become a new monetary evolution into the world of digital payments.
When Lars was waiting for his Mom outside a candy shop and he did not have any money in his pocket, a beautiful leaf from the sidewalk resolved his desires and was given in exchange for a candy bag.

A ‘little’ ahead of my time, but the event which likely has inspired me the whole life to reach the point where I and Mats are today with the result of our latest innovation(chip2Chip).
I was only 6 years old and we did live at Klubbacken, a suburb of Stockholm, see the location if you go and read about My Childhood.
Close to where we did live, there was a small marketplace, only a small supermarket, a bakery shop, and I clothing shop. I was only 6 years old and I do remember that it was a cold fall day, likely it was in October. As my mother did go into the supermarket, she allowed me to wait outside. Next to the supermarket, or better described as a food shop, there was a bakery and coffee shop. Inside the bakery shop, they did have one section for candy, and my face was pressed to the window, and my eyes were as big as plates. In my mind, I wanted so very much to have a bag with mixed candy, but no money in my pockets.
Just next to where I was standing, on the pavement, there was a beautiful leaf, the same as in the picture here, a truly nice leaf. Colorful, and big, I did pick the leaf up, held it behind my back as I was entering the bakery shop, well noted by the lady in the shop. I was standing quiet and nice, not far from the candy section. After a few minutes the lady in the shop, did look at me, once more, and she obviously could see that the candy had hypnotized my eyes to only see the candy, She then said “Hello there young man, what can I do for you?” my eyes were slowly moving their focus and there she was, she did look at me with a sweet big smile, so I thought, here is my chance.
I answered here “I would like to have some candies!” and she did ask me: “how much money you like to buy for, do you have money?” and quick as a flash, I stretched my hidden arm and hand with the leaf towards the women, and she said, that is a very beautiful leaf, and valuable.
She then told me that with such a leaf, I can buy a bag with candy. She mixed some items and did thank her so much.
Well, outside the bakery shop, it didn't take long before my Mother exited the food store and when she did walk up to me and did see that I was holding a bag with candy, my Mother asked “Lars, where did you get this bag from?”
I did look at my Mom (wth some guilt) and stated “Mom, I did buy the candy!”.
My Mom repeated the question; “Lasse, (nickname for Lars) we have told you that you can not accept things from strangers!”..
“But Mamma, I did buy the candy!”
Mom stated, how you could buy the candy, I answered Mom let's go into the bakery shop and ask, and so we did. The woman in the bakary shop politely answered my Mother and my Mother was told, Yes your son did BUY the bag with candy, and he did pay with this leaf…

Just another way to earn some pocket money.

Pris Slaktaren, translated to English meaning “The Price Boucher”. During my early years, I was when time permitted trying to earn my own pocket money, selling Chrismas books and magazines, selling fruit from gardens who wanted fruit trees to be picked, and then I came up with the idea of making these sales more permanent. So when I had moved out from my parents, just at age 16, I started to buy coffee in wholesales sacks. Repacked the coffee into, simple paper bags, one kilo per bag. It turned out to be a great business and the margins were good.

1976/1977 I came to stay and live in Gran Canaries island and was working with Mel & Sunny Calvert, musicians and entertainers when I came to start the first Jeep Tours for tourists, primarily staying at Vingresors San Agustin Resort.

Entering the Video World as early as 1978 Just back from my life and time on the iland of Cran Canari, I came to start to work for Kellerbolaget AB in Sundbyberg Kurt Keller, first as a telephone salesperson, selling the Enclysobia and quickly I become involved in administrating sales staff who was demonstrating products in Shopping malls.
These were products, in the wide range of vacuum cleaner gadgets, berry-cleaner, biscuit tools to a who range of household products. Having all these people, traveling around to even remote cities across Sweden, was not just complicated it was a nightmare, due to personal issues, delays and people were often sick, especially if the sales went well.
During the same period, I was the radio-speaker for a regional radio program for small companies, a radio program, pre-recorded and distributed by master-tapes to the local radio stations. All of this was conducted at GSP Film Ab at Lidingö, the owner was Bangt Kåring, who becomes a legend in Sweden as the Radio Piraten Radio 88 (http://jvnforg.dreamhosters.com/radiohistoria/pirat1.htm).
Being directly involved in the studio work, I came up with the idea to record a video, letting the best demonstration women make a complete demonstration, in front of video cameras and then take the most reputed Swedish Radio voice to record the Voiceover, by Jan Nylander (SVT).
In this year, 1977/1978 there were no other video machines available than the high-quality Sony U-Matic, expensive equipment and there were no big TV screens available. I did a deal with NK Shopping mall at Regeringsgatan.
The management at NK did like my idea and dedicated a first-class position:
at the entrance level, we did put a lot of SAWA biscuit package around where the TV was placed, and people were surprised to see a TV with a live dome. The sales went well and we expanded the locations. Many other brand products quickly came to adopt the same idea which later become in the shop promotion TV.

VDC Video Distribution Central 1978/1979 Home Video

VDC – Video Distribution Center, was another concept innovation I did invent in 19778/1979. This innovation was a solution for how to track Video Piracy. Technical co-inventor L.G. Riderstad and implemented by Bengt Kåring in his mass-copy facilities at Lidingö and in the operated industry park. This business becomes ESSELTE VIDEO.

The creation of VDC is a story by itself and includes partners such as OCR Kruse, Adress & Addressograph USA, Art Raynolds Anaheim, and Sam Winnicof, and the producer of VHS and Bete-Max cases in Taiwan. The story will soon be here.

CompuText was one of the first FREE and Public Open BBS – Bulletin Board Systems, started already 1983/194 by the tech-team Lars Olof Kanngard has built up over the years. At that time, the team consisted of Mats Engstrom, Allan Varcoe, Goran Olsson and Per Melin. To take a little credit for what Twitter is today, that’s what we did 19 years earlier…

CopuText and email for blind people The CompuTeext BBS system, which was at that time a revolution, in such a way that it offered services to multiple users at the same time. Back in early 1983/84, as you know there was no internet. The only way to reach a computer, distance from your own location, was by using a dial-up modem. An acoustic form of communication between two modems, When we started, the speed was very slow. However, the development of new modems, new speeds, and lower costs, made us realize that this will become a general trend, for communication, hardware cost, memories and hard disk costs. The first hardware (computer) we did build CompuText on was Luxor ABS-80 and thereafter ABC-800 and thereafter Digital PDP minicomputer and thereafter VAX 1170 if I do not recall wrong. CompuText was a FORUM structured messaging system, where you after logged in could join and follow the different topics. Each topic tree had its monitor, (the owner of the topic) who could delete and keep the topic at a professional level. Mats Engstrom came to develop a free-text-search engine so that users could search on multiple words or parts of words in the same search request. ComppuText started also to offer e-mail services and all services were given FREE to the user, sponsored by technology the team was given from Digital Equipment in Sweden. The CompuText and the email solution become so popular that the Swedish Defence Headquarters asked us to install one system at their main office, for the Defence to communicate with the Industri suppliers. The email services came to operate in Sweden up to 2005 and thereafter a few years it was operated from Dubai. Mats installed the first server in Dubai on June 5, 2005. When we later started to use Gmail, the service was closed down, which likely was 2008. Hence the CompuText came out from PermoBas, their focus has always been to provide solutions for people with handicaps, and that was why the legendary Olympic medalist in paralympic table tennis Gregor Bonderud came to be a supporter. Gregor Bonderud, was also a very active innovator, from helping tools for wheels are admitted people to BIG Lotto and Fotboll Tips system solutions. When we did start CompuText, we were working under IFF – The Instutet For Framtiden, a foundation with commercial interest, established by Lars Olof Kanngard 1982/1983, in Huddinge. We did open a forum for the Swedish innovators and Svenska Uppfinnar Foreningen SUF. The Swedish Board of Trade (xxx) did come with a nice request, can make open up CompuText so that blind people could communicate using email and be part of the forum. What Twitter started is in simple terms the natural evolution from analog computer technology to graphical user interface (GUI), but in fact, the same functionalities a natural evolution.

Ekonomitryck, Palsboda needed a solution to be able to print individual barcodes on bank cheque in early 80th. We developed based on Luxor AB computer ABC80 a software which could in combination with a CITIO hammer-printer, mass print Barcodes on bank cheques. Ekonomitryck did print bank cheques for the European bank market.

Antropolog Publication of Bertil Lundman 1976 to 1979 Book Publication

After a few years of immense work, based n the Swedish Entropolist Bertil Lundman, the project and teamwork between the initiative taker Dr, Ph.D. Hakan Jhonsson, Sweden together with the team Lars Olof Kanngard provided from his operation IFF – Instutet For Framtiden (the Institute For the Future) the book "Minnen" came to published, in a unique book in Stockholm 1987. It became the last book of Bertil Lundman, who has during his long life, born in 1899 and did die 1993. A description of the very interesting work the team conducted, will be told here.
